It’s been 4 months since Kristin Bergstrom became engaged to her longtime boyfriend William Forath. Since he popped the question in September, their family and friends have showered them with plenty of love and surprises.
This holiday season, one of Kristen’s longtime friends went above and beyond with a thoughtful and extremely practical gift: an essentials box.
Let me preface this by introducing you to the woman behind the gift. Lauren and Kristin have been best friends since elementary school and basically know each other’s deepest darkest secrets (which is totally irrelevant to this post so I will just leave it at that 😉)
For Christmas, Lauren presented the future Mrs. Forath with all of the things she could possibly need to prepare for her upcoming big day. On the surface, this looks like the average, pinterest-inspired, goodie box. But once Kristin dug inside, she discovered everything was hand-picked and out of the ordinary.
Lauren packed it with wedding magazines, a notebook for Kristto jot down any wedding ideas, a “Mrs.” mug along with a mason jar of ready-to-make layered hot cocoa, a Mr. & Mrs. candle to help her relax, and a jewelry box with a K monogram on it. The cherry on top was a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne, with a bedazzled holder and coasters. (WHEW! That made me tired just typing all of that out!)
But for the record, Lauren is a pro when it comes to things like this. She’s the owner of Pretty Simple, a Fresno-based interior design and decorating company. As one of Kristen’s longtime besties and a member of her bridal party, she says she had to make sure she had everything she needed to prepare for and be relaxed ahead of their upcoming wedding.Kristin says she LOVED everything in the box, but her favorite item was a personalized stamp with their address to use for their correspondence.
With their big day just months away, she has the tools she needs to prepare for their big day in Bass Lake this October. Congratulations to the happy couple.
